Smothered 1.3

Eames prays for patience and Bobby watches too much Discovery Channel.

A bartender with an accent calls Eames a "scruffy sort" and Bobby defends a junkie-whore's taste in home decor.

Bobby gets the door for Alex for the first time. BA eat lunch together and take part in the cutest surveilance ever. Bobby does the crossword, Alex sips at her coffee, Eames considers moving, and they scope out furnature for their place. She makes Bobby chuckle. They arrest a junkie for littering.

BA are both onto the same coat-girl. It's revealed that A doesn't have kids and B's mom never liked any of his girlfriends, even if she pretended to, because she wanted him to be happy.

Clothes Call: Eames' smart black trench makes a two-second appearance. They make surveilance look good: Alex's orange coat and jeans and Bobby's leather jacket and jeans. Bobby's hair is all ruffled at the surveilance. B looks good in his black t-shirt in interrogation and his butt looks good in those jeans.

Quotable:

E: What is that?
G: Fish scale.
E: Great, she was attacked by a shark.
G: Sharks don't have scales.
E: [sighs]

E: Not your usual junkie hell-hole.
G: She was makin' an effort.

[Guy walks by. Goren looks to Eames]
E: No, too short. Surveilance is my strong suit.
G: [chuckles] Now that's the nicest lamp we've seen. You ever think what it's like living down there?
E: WIth what one bedrooms are going for, I've considered it. My butt's getting cold.
