Phantom 1.16

It’s a sarcasm party and everyone’s invited!

Bobby cooks Bouillabisse, Alex isn’t impressed (but a dead woman’s neighbor is).

BA are on their A-game and banter all the way through. Bobby’s all sarcastic, to Eames’ delight. Bobby makes a phone call while Alex and Deakins look on amusedly. Alex gives Bobby credit for his teeth observation and they both play with “Cookie” Caspari.

We find out Alex comes from a family of cops.

Carver blatantly flirts with a UN lady right in front of BA, who shoot each other an uncomfortable look. Eames gets her and Bobby coffee. Goren uses his height to fix some chimes. Bobby says “snow” in a fun way. Heightened intensity for all and Goren drives off by himself.

Chalk up another successful hostage situation for Goren (see episode 14). Goren messes up in the hostage situation but quickly corrects himself. Goren almost gets his face blown off and is shaken accordingly.

Quotable:
Valdez: I thought since Major Case Squad handled it back then you’d do me a favor and catch this one too.
G: That’s what I live for, Valdez, to make your life easier.
Valdez: I take it you’ll be by later to wash my car?

E: The only money I ever got from my family was the fifty bucks my dad gave me for my prom dress.
G: Was that the same year you were selling apples in front of city hall?
E: It was matchsticks, and it was snowing.

E: You ready?
G: Yeah, let’s play.
E: [sing-songy] Here she comes.

E: We’re not putting you down, Cookie.

G: Oh stop! You really lay it on thick there, Cookie.

E: [Brooklyn accent] She shoulda remembered.

E: [to G] My witnesses did better than yours.

G: Nothing but the footprints in the snow.
