We travel to Lewis Body Shop in Long Island. Lewis, Bobby’s childhood friend, falls in love with Alex when she teases him with her car knowledge. Apparently Goren’s only been in Major Case a very short time because Lewis still isn’t used to seeing him in a suit. In their youth, Bobby and Lewis got into all sorts of mischief in classic cars. B & A’s vast car knowledge is on display.
Goren’s in a standoff with a guy with a kid and a gun. Goren picks up the kid, our first sign he’s good with kids. The guy tells Goren he should’ve shot him when he had the chance. Goren gets that a lot. Later, in a sweet moment, the kid runs up to Bobby and pokes his badge mischievously and Bobby gives it to him to play with while Eames asks questions.
People in the Fed owe Bobby favors: I can get someone in so deep even I couldn’t find them. Bobby gives his word.
A makes a family connection for Bobby. Goren jumps up and down excitedly behind a computer. BA ignore protocol and charge ahead with a case against the governor.
Bobby states that Major Case Squad is located in One Police Plaza, 11th floor.
Everyone sticks it to Boy Meets World’s dad. BA fights with Carver, Carver bullies BA, and Carver’s full of himself and thinks he should be taught. BA’s not impressed.
Clothes Call: Eames’ oriental collar on her suit jacket. A lawyer’s bow-tie.
Quotable:
G: Eames, I gotta see a buddy about a ’71 Malibu. You want to come?
E: Sure. I love meeting your buddies.
G: [to an unresponsive suspect] Boo! Made ya look.
G: [to an overeager secretary] That’s okay, the search warrant doesn’t actually stipulate highlighting.
